Growing up in the sixties Garet Klassen was awe struck by his neighbour’s purple 1966 Beaumont. “Every time he started this 396 big block with dual exhaust I would dream about owning a vehicle like that one day” said Garet.
Several years ago with his son Mitchell in tow they attended the auto auction at the tradex in Abbotsford. With no intention of buying, a blue 1968 Chevelle 327 high performance crossed the auction block. With the turn of the key and the rumble of the 4 inch dual exhaust Garet was sold. It brought back vivid memories of that 66 Beaumont.
Much to Garet’s surprise it won numerous awards and was featured on the Lordco calendar for the month of January 2013. Last year it was sold to a fellow from Vancouver Island ironically the original destination from the factory in 1968.
Garet Klassen currently owns a 1968 RS/SS Camaro, another favourite car model he owned previously.
