BC Chevelle & GM Car Club New Meeting Location at Surrey Golf Club

The BC Chevelle & GM Car Club is proud to announce as of April 2014 we have changed our Monthly Sunday Meeting Location to the facilities at the Surrey Golf Club – 7700 168th Street Surrey BC.  604-576-8224 or online at

With our Club Membership Expanding, each month we were at or beyond capacity for our Sunday morning monthly meetings.   Our club Executive lead by Dave, Tim and Garet visited various locations that would allow for large group meetings with coffee, breakfast and a quieter atmosphere to hear all club business.  After visiting the Surrey Golf Course sampling the breakfast and touring the facilities the executive overwhelmingly felt this was the perfect spot for future meetings!

Our President Dave Zappone, along with the executive committee made the announcement at our last meeting.   The opportunity for the BC Chevelle & GM car club to have a larger, quieter venue with good food was too great to pass up.  The Surrey Golf Club in addition to a great facility will allow members to get a few holes of golf in after meetings!

Historic Club Name Change – Welcome Pre-72 GM’s!

November 17th, 2013

Langley, BC – The BC Chevelle Club announced today that the membership has voted in favour of opening our doors to all GM classic vehicles pre-1972.   The Club name has officially been changed to BC Chevelle and GM Club.

Dave Zappone, President of the now BC Chevelle and GM Club presented the motion to the membership.  “With so many car club closures do to retirement or inability to attract volunteers and executives, this motion is necessary for our club’s long term success”.  Dave met with several long standing members prior and discussed at length.  He reminded the membership of how successful the last few years have been as a club, and the opportunity to be involved in more fun activities and give back to charity with stronger membership.

The motion was 2nd by Tim Williams, Vice President of the now BC Chevelle & GM Club.  The membership was unanimous in the vote, and a new chapter in the club’s history is now set in motion.

Garet Klassen, 2nd Vice President has updated Club Constitution and By-Laws to reflect the name change.  The Club insignia will not be changed except for the added wording “and gm”.

With the change, the club now welcomes (in addition to Chevelle, Beaumont, and El Camino owners) new and existing members who have pre-1972 GM Vehicles.  Our club goal continues – Be a social club, having fun thru the hobby giving back to local community charities.

Our updated constitution is available on in our members only section.  For non-members who wish to receive a copy and learn more about these changes, please contact any of the club executive members.

For Sponsorship Opportunities, or if you are interested in learning more about the club in more detail please contact Tim Williams, BC Chevelle and GM Club 1st Vice President at
